Welcome to Word of Mouth Limited, Finland's only true Language Consultancy. Founded by David Brown in 2005, Word of Mouth works solely with language and communication – producing top quality journalism, editing and adapting text, training writing and presentation skills.

As a consultancy, Word of Mouth specialises in politics and media, working with Government Ministries and European bodies, as well as leading media organisations. We offer specialised consultancy, in which you can become more fluent and confident discussing and describing your work in English. We also train specific skills, such as presentations, negotiations and writing. In each case, David's skills as a journalist and presenter are a huge bonus for executives and administrators increasingly under pressure to communicate fluently and effectively.

As a journalist, David has been published by MeNaiset, CNN Traveller and a dozen other magazines and newspapers around the world. A columnist for Six Degrees magazines, he writes regularly on politics, food and wine for the weeky Helsinki Times.

Under the management of Soili Petäniemi-Brown, Word of Mouth also offers both high quality translations from English to Finnish and visa versa.  We specialise in combined translation & editing assignments, where all work is checked by a native speaker before being returned to the client.
